What I don't understand is why Playtonic Games are getting rid of Jon's recorded lines via an update rather than making it a free, optinal DLC?

If people wish to not hear Jon's voice in light of recent events, then they can download the DLC that gets rid of Jon's voice lines.

For those who wish to hear Jon's voice instead of a replacement then they don't have to download the DLC.

It's a win/win for everyone.

I agree. Its extremely problematic that in current year, a company like Playtonics can not hire PoC. Fix this Playtonics. I literally can't anymore.

He's quite the provocative character that related closely to JonTron. Curious as to what his opinion is about this decision. Especially since he's worked with him before on GameGrumps.

For the first time in my life, I feel compelled to give my opinion on one of these discussions. It is absurd that things have grown to such a proportion that it's no longer an option to just play games and have fun without having to subscribe to some political or social ideology.

Playtonic should feel ashamed for throwing someone under the bus, essentially condemning anyone that may still be friends with him or be fans of his in the process. This is a ritualistic sacrifice to the loud minority of morally outraged authoritarian that are ruining video games. If they are going to invite politics into their game, then they are forcing me put my politics on the line. That alone is enough for me not support them anymore.

I just want to play some games, yeah?
