
The franchise’s pivot to RPG mechanics and sprawling open worlds with Assassin’s Creed Origins won plenty of fans, but it also simplified parkour and reduced the emphasis on dense urban traversal—something many series purists missed.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage promised a return to the series’ classic focus on tight, city-centred movement and largely delivered. It’s encouraging to see Ubisoft expand on that with the Valley of Memory updates — even if questions remain about the DLC’s origins.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory is a polished DLC for devoted fans, and it could fundamentally reshape how the base game feels.
