Attention Raiders! The community has already cracked the complex Arc Raiders Buried City music puzzle, achieving this feat less than 24 hours after its debut in the Cold Snap update.
Widely regarded as the game’s most intricate challenge to date, the puzzle involves 15 interactive buttons scattered across the Buried City map. Each button corresponds to a specific musical note. To bypass a heavily reinforced locked door, players must activate these buttons in a precise sequence, which is hinted at by musical notation graffiti found within the same building as the vault.
Below is the full Buried City music puzzle solution, along with a few reasons why the journey might be more rewarding than the actual destination.
Buried City Music Puzzle Solution
Credit goes to the dedicated members of the Arc Raiders Puzzle Discord server, who spearheaded the effort to solve this mystery and hosted the findings on their community site. As illustrated in the map above, all 15 locations are marked. The sequence begins at Plaza Rosa and traverses the map, culminating at button No. 15 located directly in front of the door. Successfully hitting them in order will grant you access to the room beyond.
However, there is a significant catch: button inputs are server-side rather than client-side. This means that if any player on the server hits a button out of order, it resets the progress for everyone. Given that a complete run takes approximately 20 minutes to execute, attempting this without a coordinated squad is a recipe for frustration.
The Buried City Music Puzzle Reward
View this post on InstagramWhat is the prize for conquering the most grueling puzzle Arc Raiders has to offer? Legendary acoustic guitars. Until now, the recorder was the only playable instrument available, but this update expands the musical repertoire. With the recent addition of shakers, players can now essentially form a full post-apocalyptic band.
While these instruments are a charming cosmetic Easter egg, they offer no tactical advantage against ARC threats or rival Raiders. If you are hunting for practical gear and high-tier loot, you may find better value in completing “The Clean Dream” quest instead.
