Arc Raiders is still in its infancy — under a month old — but some of its most active players are already pressing developer Embark for fresh content to keep the experience engaging. Not everyone believes that should be the immediate priority, however.
Recently a clip of streamer Ali “Myth” Kabbani circulated online after he said he’d “prefer new content over daily fixes for non–game‑breaking bugs. If it doesn’t break the game, just give me new content. I’ll accept the rough edges — that’s a pill I’d rather swallow.”
Still, Myth isn’t alone in wanting more to do. In a Reddit thread earlier this month, a player claimed there isn’t enough content for their tastes — a caveat being that they don’t represent the “average” player, having invested significantly more time in games like Tarkov. Despite recognizing that there are PvP-driven goals and player interactions to pursue, they wrote they were approaching boredom after roughly 60 hours of topside play.
In another Reddit post shared within two weeks of launch, another player asked whether they had reached the endgame, noting that after finishing missions and activities they were mostly left with blueprints and PvP — “feels like there is nothing else to do.”
Conversely, some Redditors argue that complaints about a content shortage reflect players who have simply invested an exceptional amount of time. One commenter wryly wrote they “sweated the game 24/7 and cleared everything in a week — where’s the new content?” they commented.
Both perspectives have merit. Embark will need to strike a balance between polishing the experience and delivering new content. Given the game’s very recent release, more updates are almost certain — whether any update will fully satisfy every segment of the playerbase remains to be seen.
