The exploit has been around for some time and is generating frustration across the player base. “The sooner Embark bans people doing this, the sooner it will stop,” says popular streamer and YouTuber MoiDawg in a quote-tweet of Lance’s footage.
“Let’s just ban people doing this tbh. It needs to get fixed and it’s obviously not a simple one as it would’ve been done by now,” adds streamer Klean.
The door glitch has also become a recurring joke among fans, spawning a long thread of posts and memes on the official subreddit as players poke fun at the wait for an official fix. See a sample of the community’s reactions here and here.
It seems likely the issue is on Embark Studios’ radar, but a reliable fix has so far proved elusive. Until a hotfix lands, players intent on exploiting the bug will probably keep doing so.
