Verified community manager CM | Lily replied: “Yep — skill points are awarded based on stash + wallet at the time of departure.”
As shown by the Arc Raiders Reddit community’s discussion, that confirmation is significant. A little mystery is fine, but Arc Raiders can be annoyingly vague about some mechanics, and you don’t want uncertainty when deciding whether to wipe your entire account. With this clarification, you can safely convert unwanted loot to cash instead of squeezing every last item value into storage slots.
Still, the core question remains: how much currency is required to earn the maximum skill points from an Expedition reset? Some players speculate Embark is still analyzing live player data to shape a reasonable progression curve and reward table, which would explain the lack of hard figures. Even the official Expedition explainer—shared via the Discord server when users ask about server wipes—doesn’t provide many specifics.
“Would be nice to have actual hard numbers instead of ambiguous messaging,” as Reddit user Bukr123 put it.
When another Discord user asked if there were “any numbers to share,” Lily replied plainly: “No numbers atm, skill points and stash space bonuses are permanent.”
I scanned replies from other community managers on the server and found no further clarification about the scale of skill or stash rewards.
We’ll get there eventually—baby steps. Personally, I’m not going to attempt any Expeditions until the payouts are clearer; a handful of extra skill points and a few slots don’t yet justify the effort, at least based on what we know so far.
Arc Raiders has a weird problem for a shooter: the worst guns in the game are really good.
