Apple Developing Face ID-Enabled Doorbell
According to analyst Mark Gurman, Apple is working on a smart doorbell with Face ID and integration into Apple HomeKit.
The analyst suggests that Apple might release this product under a different brand to avoid reputational damage in case of potential hacks and burglaries. A licensed partner like Belkin or Anker might be chosen for this purpose.
The company also plans to significantly expand its presence in the smart home device market. A smart home control hub is expected to launch in 2025. New Apple TV and HomePod mini could serve in this role.
The smart doorbell project is in the early stages of development and will not be available for sale until at least the end of 2025.
