Where are the Carnival Clown Boards locations in Fortnite? This is undoubtedly the question that first comes to mind when you first see the Fortnite week 9 challenges for season 6. The second objective on the list tasks you with getting a score of 10 or more on different Carnival Clown Boards, and we’re here to help you find them and complete it.
Since this challenge is the second of your seven total challenges for this week, this Fortnite Carnival Clown Boards challenge is a free challenge. That means if you haven’t stumped up for the Battle Pass for this season you can still have a crack at it. However, you’ll still be limited in terms of the cosmetic prizes you can unlock with your five lovely new Battle Stars.
This is by no means the first time we’ve had to record scores in different places across the Fortnite map. This task is somewhat similar to the task that had us getting a score of three or more at different Fortnite Shooting Galleries – just with whack-a-mole style balloons rather than spinning plates. Although this one sounds less similar, previously we’ve needed to race past Fortnite Radar Signs at a speed of 27 or more. For now, here’s everything we know about the Fortnite Carnival Clown Boards locations.

Since the Fortnite week 9 challenges are not live yet, we’ll have to wait and see if this the correct challenge for this week. Epic seem to have wised up to the once-reliable challenge leakers and either made the challenges tougher to suss out ahead of time, or changed what we thought they’d be altogether. That said, we’re reasonably confident that this is the challenge we’ll be tackling later today at 1pm GMT (8am ET / 5am PT).
That said, we do know where all Fortnite Carnival Clown Boards locations are, and you can see them on the map and screenshots above. There are four in total, but you only need to get three scores of 10 or more to get your five Battle Stars.
Each board works very simply. You approach one and activate it when you get close enough to be prompted. Then balloons will start inflating from the little holes on the board. Then you can either pop them with a quick swipe of your harvesting tool or shoot them. Bear in mind the latter option will make it more likely you’ll be noticed.
But that’s it when it comes to all Fortnite Carnival Clown Boards locations. But, remember, since we’re nearing the ending of season 6, it’s important you’ve cleared up your remaining challenges, as your typical weekly ones will disappear. So make sure you’ve caught up with last week’s Fortnite Fish Trophy challenge and the Fortnite Streetlight Spotlights task way back in week 1. For now, best of luck with the rest of your week 9 challenges.
