That anecdote may be a colorful paraphrase, but picturing Bill Gates and Steve Jobs in a tussle over Halo’s future is entertaining. Regardless, Halo: Combat Evolved shipped with the original Xbox, and the franchise has been closely associated with Microsoft’s consoles ever since.
Lehto also revealed that Master Chief’s armor went through nine redesigns before the team settled on the iconic suit featured in Halo: Combat Evolved.
