SmallAnt beats the hardest Pokémon Nuzlocke first try – YouTube

Run and Bun is more than a traditional difficulty mod — it surgically reworks every trainer encounter to squeeze the player to their limits. The hack calculates behind the scenes using complete knowledge of the player’s party, then selects the move it judges most effective on each turn. It also applies Generation VIII mechanics to Emerald, arms Gym leaders with legendary Pokémon, and prevents players from using the bag during trainer battles.
None of that deterred SmallAnt. After roughly 426 hours of play and 19 total Pokémon deaths, he completed the run. In the final encounter with Elite Four Champion Wallace, SmallAnt even sacrificed a late-team Golisopod named Pea to secure victory.
Ultimately, it was SmallAnt’s Sceptile — reduced to a single HP — that landed the finishing blows, dispatching Wallace’s Manaphy and a mega-evolved Swampert with perfectly timed Leaf Storms. That result places him among the rare players to finish this specific Nuzlocke with fewer than 20 deaths, according to community records compiled by the community. As SmallAnt dryly noted afterward, “And they didn’t do it on their first try.”
Despite warming to the challenge during the run, SmallAnt warned fans not to expect a repeat anytime soon: “Don’t ask me to do another one. I’m not doing another Nuzlocke. This took way too long! I did the hardest one, so now you can’t tell me to do another one, because it’s just going to be easier.”
